The override of the President's Veto on the Water Bill shows what is wrong with Congress. The bill started out with projects that had gone through a considerable study phase got projects added that had been earlier rejected by engineers as lacking feasibility or had never been studied. These added projects had one thing in common PORK. So the President saw these added expenditures and saw a chance to shut up the liberal congress (led by socialists Reed and Pelosi) by saying “You say I am causing a deficient; vote for one yourselves.”
The bill contained only authorizations for the projects; the appropriations for the projects are yet to come. Again the President will say “You guys take the heat for the deficient”
Here is some political reality. Every project will be attacked by an environmental wacko group in court; the money to defend against those attacks will come from project money thus many projects will not go forward even if they win in court because there will not be enough money to fund the actual project. Since Federal law says these wacko groups get paid by the government for bringing these wacko suits; about a quarter of the money will go to wacko groups.

Considering the Choices
I have been considering my choices in the GOP presidential race (I don't even think about the alternative liberal party). My long standing #1 choice has been Condi Rice; but she is too intelligent and gracious to get into something where mud slinging is the norm (no pun intended).http://www.4condi.com
Mitt R. is my favorite right now; I can align with his family values and I think we need a business executive for the next eight years to keep the economy strong. I have trouble with some of his "I had to say this to get elected in MA stuff" even though as a long time political operative I understand it. http://www.mittromney.com/
Fred T. is a true conservative so that makes him a second favorite but I need to see if his campaign organization can come together enough to convince me he can beat the "I just want to be the most powerful woman on earth and I don't care who I have to kill to do it" candidate.http://www.fred08.com/
John M. impresses me with his stand on the war and immigration (I know I might lose my conservative credentials by being for a rational immigration policy but I am taking the chance) but I can't forgive him for the absolutely stupid campaign finance law he pushed through. That might just be the best way to destroy a democracy.http://www.johnmccain.com/
Rudy G. is impressive but either you are Roman Catholic or you aren't; there is no in between. http://www.joinrudy2008.com/
I like Huckaby from Arkansas because he is like me; just a Heartland Christian; but he is not scoring big in the party or the polls. Thanks to McCain - Fiengold organizations that want a Christian president can't help one who is running.http://www.mikehuckabee.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=Home.Home
Ron Paul needs a psych consultation.
The rest are just the rest. Also thanks to McCain-Fiengold we can't help our black and Hispanic stars. Thanks for nothing John.
I keep getting requests for financial support from the RNC; for the first time in my life I am not giving to the RNC because they are required to distribute to turn coats along with loyalists. However I am not so required. http://www.rnc.org/
Difficult choices!
Oh; if you want to call those debates go ahead; but they would shame Abe Lincoln!

Where are we headed?
The question is "where are we headed in this country". It is clear that the foundation Christian beliefs are under attack by the secularists in congress. Those who are conveniently Christian (like Ted K.) have decided that Chritian principles must give way to what they think is political necessity.
Mean while Islam again is following its foundations that direct and compell it to destroy Christianity and its precurser Judaism.
Where should we go? I believe we as evangelical Christians have no choice but to form political parties through out the world that have one political goal; protection of Christian foundations.

The Unites States Attorney General
Could it be that the Democrats are after the AG because he has the audacity to be Hispanic Republican. They hate the Secretary of State because she is black and a Republican.
Liberal democrats think that any minority person who throws off the victim mentality and become a success through hard work and education is to be despised.
That is what this is about and only what it is about. They want to use their majority for revenge not for renewal like they told the American voter.
